The Bryt Eco series drives are claimed to be manufacturer by Bright Vision Components Limited, Hong Kong; imported into India by Brightex Enterprises Private Limited, New Delhi; and distributed by Redington India mostly to corporate / bulk purchases.

I received 5 of these drives as part of a corporate purchase and decided to test them immediately upon receipt to identify performance or quality issues.

Sample (1 of 5) – Volume Label: BRYT256A
CrystalDiskMark Profile – Real World Performance [+Mix], 1 iterations, 8GB test size, 4KB Cluster Size

Sample (2 of 5) – Volume Label: BRYT256B
CrystalDiskMark Profile – Real World Performance [+Mix], 1 iterations, 8GB test size, 4KB Cluster Size

Sample (3 of 5) – Volume Label: BRYT256C
CrystalDiskMark Profile – Peak Performance, 1 iterations, 8GB test size, 4KB Cluster Size

Sample (4 of 5) – Volume Label: BRYT256D
CrystalDiskMark Profile – Peak Performance, 1 iterations, 64GB test size, 128KB Cluster Size
Error: Drive disconnected in the middle of testing, on second try it reached temperature of 67 Deg Celsius.

CrystalDiskMark Profile – Peak Performance, 3 iterations, 32GB test size, 128KB Cluster Size

My 2 Cents:

  • There are some quality issues in packaging, software & hardware.
  • Packaging wise, the cartons did not come properly sealed. While the lower part of the carton had a holographic sticker, the upper lid was wide open and showed symptoms of having been opened previously.
  • The stickers that were pasted on the SSDs were also partially torn in 1 of the drives.
  • One of the disks (#4 of 5) failed during testing. The drive became very hot in the area where the electronics are typically located.
  • The Firmware version, Drive Serial Numbers, Drive Manufacturer label in software are varying quite a bit among the 5 drives
  • Drive performance speeds are being achieved very close to advertised numbers.

Testing Parameters:

  • All tests were performed on a Dell PC featuring Intel i3-9100T CPU, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 updated to the latest patches as on test date (09-Jul-2025)
  • The SATA SSDs were installed in Sounce External SATA to USB Case
  • The USB Case was connected to the PC over USB 3.0 port (5 Gbps)
